The Ferno Najo Backboards are a one-piece, high density plastic that is filled with polyurethane foam that is impervious to body fluids. Available in four designs, the boards are X-ray transparent as they are made without rods, rails or runners. All boards have a non-slip, mild grain surface and are void and seam free. Each board has 22 large handholds to ensure the safe transportation of patients. Najo Backboards are CE certified and have a lifetime guarantee (under normal usage conditions).
The Najo Lite is the newest and most cost effective X-ray transparent backboard on the market. The board has two handles at the tapered end to allow for more stable transportation and has angled edges for log-rolling. The Najo Lite has an opening down the lower half of the board to immobilise each leg separately, if so required.
