CMC Survivor Escape and RIT Kits offer a variety of choices for bailout, building search and rapid intervention team (RIT) operations. We know that everyone has a personal preference for the rope they carry: some use a smaller diameter line for search and hauling tools knowing it will also hold their weight for an emergency rappel; others prefer rope certified to the NFPA 1983 Escape Line standard. Fire fighters who use their rope only for emergency rappel or escape kits can configure theirs for immediate deployment. Escape and RIT Kit bags come in a variety of shapes and can be mounted on self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) belts, tool belts and ladder belts.
