or Two Berth Mercedes Response Van This MK5 Mercedes van body interior was designed and developed in 2000 for the West Australian Ambulance Service who covers all country towns and metropolitan areas. The body interior has been ergonomically designed for patient and medical staff comfort. The Mercedes van, which is imported as a 2.9 ltr Turbo Diesel 4x2 automatic and is ideal for country and city emergencies. The construction of the modular interior is of fibreglass with sound insulation between the inner and outer skins. The vehicle comes with a waterproof and non-slip
flooring which is sealed from dust. A twin airconditioner and
battery system is supplied and fitted. Twin stretchers and one
medical attendant seat make up the twin berth and the single stretcher
and one medical attendant seat and two swivel seats make up the
other berth plus a large full interior side locker which carries
full medical equipment and oxygen resuscitation/defibrillation
equipment. The vehicle has exterior side doors, when open equipment
can be easily accessible. Ambulance warning devices and markings
are available in any configuration. This automobile has been the
mainstay of the Ambulance Service as a response, intensive care,
